Home and Community-based Services (HCBS) enable people who have problems with their physical, mental and/or behavioral health. Medicaid pays for nursing home care to make sure that everyone has the chance to receive the proper support that they need. These waivers are exclusively applicable for home care and home health care. Meaning, institutionalized services are not covered.
